Description
English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Jun. 27, 2003) -- Senior Chief Musician Tony M. Suazo, leading chief petty officer for the Pacific Fleet Band (PACFLT), instructs his musicians at an “all hands” rehearsal before performing at a local high school. Under the leadership of PACFLT Band Director Lt. Dale E. Yager, the 41-member band forms six ensembles including the Ceremonial Band, the Big Band, Tsunami a.k.a. the contemporary music ensemble, the Dixie Express Dixieland band, the Harbor Brass Quintet and the Tradewinds Woodwind Quintet. The PACFLT Band is a directorate of Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and is one of 12 fleet Navy bands. There is also two premiere bands; the U.S. Navy Band in Washington D.C. and the Naval Academy Band in Annapolis, Md. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 1st Class William R. Goodwin. (RELEASED)
